My name is Leanne Johnson, and I have been teaching for the past 32 years. I am married to my wonderful husband Kyle, and we have a beautiful daughter named Kylee. My daughter is a freshman at UCA where both my husband and I went to college. We have 3 goofy dogs, a doodle, a terrier and a Vizsla along with 2 hamsters my daughter did not take with her to college. I grew up in Helena/West Helena, Arkansas, and then moved to UCA for college. After college, I started my teaching career in PCSSD.
I have been a part of Springdale School District for the past 16 years, teaching Gifted and Talented across the district. I have worked at several elementary schools and at Hellstern Middle School while in Springdale. I love working with the GT students, providing creative challenges, and Enrichment to all the students I have been able to work with. My strengths are math challenges, and problem solving. I also enjoy sharing STEM/STEAM lessons with the students.
Before teaching in Springdale I was a GT teacher in PCSSD, and worked at SLUFY (Summer Laureate University for Youth) at UALR in the summers. I started my teaching career in PCSSD as a 4th grade teacher, then moved schools and grade levels into 5th grade for 2 years, before I became a GT Facilitator. I was a GT Facilitator in several schools across PCSSD, including the GT Specialty School at College Station, where I was the 3-5 grade Math Facilitator.
On weekends, I love cheering on the Razorbacks, at football, soccer, basketball, etc. I also enjoy going to the lake to relax and unwind. Weekends also include running to one or two of the farmer's markets, and walking around looking at all the things they have to sell. In my spare time I love to travel, go to new places, and see new things. When I am "stuck at home" I love working on a puzzle, cooking, or watching HGTV. I also try to go see my students at activities outside of school, soccer, football, basketball, plays, etc., when possible.

Hello! My name is Amy Ritchey and this is my 22nd year in education and my 6th year at Parson Hills. Before arriving at Parson Hills, my career in education took me to several interesting places around the world. I started my teaching adventure in Bakersfield, California. Then I spent six years at the International School of Bangkok, Thailand. Returning to the states, I led a classroom in Houston, Texas, and in 2014 I moved to Northwest Arkansas, taking a position at Shaw Elementary School here in Springdale.
It all started back in 2000, when I graduated from Texas A&M University at Kingsville (go Javelinas!) with a degree in elementary education. I continued my education at California State University, focusing on Special Education. In 2018, I earned a Masters in School Leadership from Arkansas State University. I am also proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher.
I come from a very large family in Texas. I have five siblings (one brother and four sisters) as well as 17 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews. I live in Fayetteville with my husband, Adam, and have an awesome stepson, Jackson, who is currently a junior at the University of Arkansas. We are proud dog owners of a very beautiful and sweet dog named Ziva. In my spare time, I love to be outdoors, working in my yard, and planting flowers. I also love kayaking and birdwatching.
