HTMS was honored to have Judge Joseph Wood speak to our students and staff Friday, May 6. His message centered on overcoming adversity. Judge Wood was a foundling at birth on a doorstep in Chicago. He then bounced from orphanage to foster homes until he was 10 years old. Judge Wood has obviously overcome many social and emotional challenges during his life. He is a great testament to the fact that we can't change what is behind us. Instead, Judge Wood reminded us we all have a unique journey, and because it is unique, we only get one and we have to keep going. Thank you, Judge Joseph Wood, for your words of encouragement!
