Dr. Todd Loftin, Central Junior High School principal, has been recognized with the National Administrator of the Year Award by the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America
"This incredible achievement is a testament to Dr. Loftin's unwavering dedication and support for our school's chapter of FCCLA," said Ally Bailey, Central Junior High School family and consumer science teacher and FCCLA adviser.
Exceptional school administrators encourage chapters and help students take advantage of the opportunities offered, according to the FCCLA's website. The National School Administrator of the Year Award recognizes and honors local administrators who give outstanding support to the organization on the local, state and national levels.
Award recipients are recognized for their service to FCCLA, in one or more of the following areas:
- Supports and encourages FCCLA sponsored activities and projects
- Supports and encourages FCCLA advisers
- Supports and encourages individual students
- Significantly influences and encourages membership in FCCLA
- Promotes FCCLA in the community
- Supports Career and Technical Education

FCCLA is a national career and technical student organization for family and consumer sciences students in public and private school through grade 12, according to the nonprofit's website. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families.
Loftin's commitment to student growth and development has been nothing short of exceptional, Bailey said.
"He has created an environment where our students can flourish, explore their passions and make a positive impact within the school and the community," Bailey said. "This award is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions."
Central's FCCLA chapter has grown stronger and more vibrant each year under Loftin's leadership, she said.
"He has encouraged and empowered our students to take on leadership roles, providing them with valuable opportunities to enhance their skills and become well-rounded individuals," Bailey said. "Dr. Loftin understands the importance of fostering personal and professional growth, and he consistently motivates our students to reach for the stars."
Loftin has likewise been an enthusiastic supporter of students in their regional and national competitions, she said.
"He attends events, offers encouragement and recognizes their accomplishments, further bolstering their confidence and dedication to the organization," Bailey said. "His active involvement has been instrumental in nurturing a sense of belonging and pride among our FCCLA members."
Loftin's collaborative approach fosters strong relationships between Central and the local community, she said.
"He has tirelessly worked to establish partnerships with businesses, organizations and community leaders, creating meaningful opportunities for our FCCLA students to engage in service projects," Bailey said. "These experiences not only benefit our students, but also strengthen the bonds between our school and the broader community."
